Abraham, Isaac and now Jacob, experienced conflict as a result of God providing material wealth for them despite unfavourable circumstances. A furious Laban, pursuing an escaping Jacob says he has the power to harm Jacob and probably would have done, if God hadn't spoke to him and warned him not to.
There are people who would want to harm me. In some cases there is nothing I can do about it. But God can, and does, protect.
I can live confidently, knowing God is in charge of what happens to me
