Isaac makes the same error of judgement as his dad and says that his wife is his sister. Somehow, although Isaac makes the same error of judgement as his dad and says that his wife is his sister, he comes out of the situation protected and wealthy. He keeps falling on his feet by discovering wells (incidental to us but essential for survival to him), and every time he gets moved on, he finds another one. No matter what Isaac does, God is graciously with him, protecting and providing for him.
God is also my protector and provider. He doesn't stop if I do something wrong, or if somebody else does something bad to me.
I get anxious when approaching the unknown, or approaching something that could change something that I do know. When will I learn?! I have nothing to fear. I am not stepping into the unknown every day but into the comfort of his protection and provision.
