“If God is for us, who can be against us?” Typically I think about this verse in terms of things outside of my control but this morning I was struck with the idea of my own sin and faithlessness and how even that cannot, ultimately, separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. I place so much weight on my ability, my diligence, my acts of obedience and forget that God’s love for me, His saving love for me, is what determines my salvation. Ultimately, I want to understand that God’s love for me is so strong and deep that nothing, even my own sin, can take me from His hand. The truth of God’s word moves my heart to worship as I think about how great His love is toward me, a sinner, and I hope it does yours as well. This is worship.
